Does any one remember Raghavan – a Malayalee Circus Person in a DD Serial Circus? Or does any one remember the character of Abhimanyu Rai in a DD Serial Fauji? Or atleast, I wonder, if any one remembers Kabir Khan of Chak De India.

Broadly, we have three different categories of actors who have transformed themselves from Actors to Stars and from Stars to Super Stars.
We have Rajnikants and Amitabh Bachchans; whose sheer presence and charisma on the screen pulls out the magic. No matter what the story is or the screen play has been, they guarantee maximum entertainment to their audience.
We have Amir Khans; who purely depend upon the stories, screen play and direction to add more value to the entertainment for their audience.
We have Salman Khans, Akshay Kumars who completely stick to the formula and enthrall their audience.
Where does Sharukh fit in the above? Does he still possess the same kind of Screen Presence that he had shown in films like Deewana where he shared screen space with Rishi Kapoor! Does any one remember a decent story line in which Sharukh has acted after Chak De India? Can any one say that Sharukh can still pull the magic with the kind of histrionics that Salmans and Akshays display on the screen?
I think that is what Sharukh wanted to prove with Ra.One. He wanted to prove he is beyond Rajnikants and Amitabh Bachchans. He seems to be believing that the “Victory of good over evil” is the best story concept that can get him a super hit. And he still thinks that his pelvic thrusts, grinds and bumps are any day better than that of Salmans and Akshays!
However, what Ra.One has proved is entirely the opposite. Sharukh Khan – The Actor has long gone! Now all that remains is just an Arrogant and Rubbish Acts La Ra.One.
Rajni is an undisputed, one and only Super Star of Indian Cinema across Kolly, Tolly, Bolly and Sandalwoods. Even then, Robot Director Shankar did not rely on the image value of Rajni alone, as he worked out on his direction and screenplay in a much better way than Ra.One, whereas Ra.One is solely dependant on Sharukh’s Image and Graphical Extravaganza.
All in all, Ra.One is a visual spectacle. Car chase and action sequence involving a Local Train are stunning to say the least. There ends the good things about this movie.
Picking up nose, peeping in to blouse, hitting crotch, spanking butt are the things that have compensated for the comedy in this movie! Added spice is Condoms and Gay Jokes – vulgar sense of humour! It was uncomfortable watching this so called Movie for Kids with my kids!
Climax combat sequence between Ra.One and G.One doesn’t thrill much. Except for crawling on the walls, jumping from heights and throwing colourful fire balls there is nothing much in this sequence. As a matter of fact, we played much better games such as Quake fifteen years ago! Even these heroics become pale when compared to Robot viz. running over Local Train.
If Arjun Rampal continues to do his straight wooden face act, Sharuk keeps irritating with his trade mark neck shaking and voice trembling acts as a South Indian Sekhar. Only relief is to see Sharukh’s emotion less face as G.One. Karina has nothing better to offer and the saving grace is Robot Chitti albeit with few seconds, which doesn’t even fit in to the scheme of the story. Besides Chammak Challo Music and Visual Treats, I wonder if any one would ever like to remember this movie beyond few weeks.
Whole concept itself looks quite far fetched beyond reasonable understanding. Story was loosely knit. Connections were lost. Over all this movie is a Blunder by all means! Hope Sharukh doesn’t carry forward this movie for international audience and make fun of himself.
